Yoga Basics
Yoga Basics is designed to provide the building blocks for any Yoga practice. This series teaches the fundamentals of asana (postures), breath awareness and relaxation techniques. No specific fitness level is required. You will be encouraged to honor your own abilities and explore your boundaries. |
Beginners
Beginner classes are an excellent way to introduce your body to Yoga. This class explores basic asanas (postures) and breathing.
|
Level I/II:
Level I/II classes are for those of you who want to jump into yoga headfirst. It is designed to be a challenging beginner's class, so all levels and abilities are welcome here. We will explore more asanas and breathing as well as some basic vinyasa (flow). This is a great place to find a balance between activity and relaxation. |
Intermediate:
The Intermediate classes are perfect for those already familiar with basic yoga postures, come to this class and begin to take your practice to a new level. |
Gentle Yoga:
Gentle yoga is a slower paced class that uses a lot of props to allow the body to relax into the poses and provides lots of hands-on adjusting from the instructors. We rarely get off the floor, so this is a great option if you are recovering from pain or injury, or if you are just looking to de-stress and relax. |
Gentle Flow:
Gentle Flow is a slow paced class connecting specific movements and asanas(postures) within a gentle dynamic flow! A very graceful class. |
Subtle Flow:
Subtle Flow focuses on deepening awareness when learning and practicing yoga. Here, the quality of awareness brought to
the practice is as important as learning the techniques. Subtle yoga is about
going beyond instinctual and intellectual ways of knowing about yoga in order to
understand and practice from a deeper part of the self. Subtle yoga is about
approaching the deepest part of yourself and allowing that inner wisdom and
knowing to overflow from your practice into your daily life. Appropriate for any
level, some knowledge of basic postures is a plus.

Prenatal Yoga:
Prenatal yoga is a gentle class for mamas-to-be, honoring the goddess within.
Nurtures the nurturers with supportive postures to assist with pregnancy for
flexibility, balance, strength, and to aid with preparations for the miracle of
birth. Focuses on breathing and relaxation. No experience required, just come
barefoot and pregnant! |
Early Rising Class:
This is a class geared to the ones who want an extra early boost for their day prior to the "normal" daily activities. Gentle morning stretches and gentle sun salutations will be the focus of this practice. |
Hot Flow:
Hot Flow is a dynamic movement class designed to make you sweat! This class moves! |
Yoga Nidra:("Yoga Sleep")
A wakeful state of deep introversion! A class where we focus in relaxing the body, part by part, and harmonizing the mind gently. Embracing then a full body relaxation and a purification on awareness and consciousness. |
Restorative:
Within therapeutic yoga, this is a very gentle style in which we utilize props (bolsters, pillows, blankets, chairs,...) to support the body to deepen the benefits of the poses. It is a very soothing and nurturing practice that brings out the effects of conscious relaxation. |
Vinyasa:
"It is a State of Grace". Carefully balanced sequences with the flow of yoga postures, where the breath is the guide for the motions. The waves of the flow brings peace and awareness. |
